Nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada's, our family offers you access to sun-grown fresh mushrooms, medicinal products and educational programs to bring you closer to fungi. We steward a greenhouse and permaculture farm in Grass Valley, and our in-house strains are cultivated in our barn’s lab facility with controlled conditions. Throughout the year, we cultivate some varieties outside in nature among the gardens. During the rainy seasons we’ll be wild foraging mushrooms native to the Sierra Nevadas. The Family
MushBarn fruited from a community awestruck by the power and generosity of fungi. We aim to inspire healthy relationships between ourselves and nature’s networks to learn how to best support a resilient and fertile biosphere. We do this by growing mushrooms with regenerative practices, learning and sharing mycological theory and building community. We cultivate our sun grown mushrooms with a deep respect to the fungi and plant king & queendoms from deep in majestic Nevada County. We acknowledge our existence in Nisenan territory and practice regenerative processes to live in reciprocity with the land.
